I had a lovely stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean with plenty of storage, though the bathroom was a bit small. The service was exceptional, and the location was convenient for exploring Ambleside. The dining experience was fantastic, and overall, it was a pleasant stay worth repeating.

The rooms had everything we needed, including a lovely hot shower, and lots of storage for four of us. They were very clean, with plenty of storage, and the location was perfect for walking to Ambleside Town centre or Lake Windermere.

The owners were really pleasant and easy to chat to. They were friendly and accommodating, providing a very good vegetarian breakfast.

The hotel is impeccably clean and of the highest quality from fixtures and fittings to the superb offerings at breakfast. It's very convenient, only a very short walk into the centre of Ambleside and close enough to walk to the shore of Windermere too.

The dining experience was excellent, with regional products, and the location was brilliant for touring the area. The staff went out of their way to make it very good and well presented.

I had a mixed experience at this guest house. The rooms were very well appointed with comfortable beds and a generous welcome tray, but they could use an update. The location was fantastic, within walking distance of the town and Lake Windermere, although overshadowed by other positive aspects. The service was welcoming and friendly with knowledgeable staff, but there were some minor service issues. The dining experience was perfect overall, with particularly delicious local sausages, but there was a slight issue with one of the items. The facilities were sufficient and served their purpose.
